Now available: Ride With GPS NEW!

The Ottawa Valley Cycling and Active Transportation Alliance (OVCATA) has created an access portal into the Ride With GPS website that will allow you to access and navigate the Tour de Bonnechere routes directly on your Apple or Android phones. Just use your phone to click on the link and it should take you directly to that route and allow you to navigate with visual and voice prompts. There are more details at the bottom of this page about how to do this. You will not need to buy a Ride With GPS account to use this service, OVCATA has already paid to allow your use while navigating the route.

For information on how to use Ride With GPS please scroll down to the bottom of this page.

Monarch of the Mountains - 100k Route
If you are looking for a challenge this is your route. It features what Canadian Cycling Magazine call the 2nd toughest climb in Ontario, The Foymount Hill. This is a Cat.3 climb of over 2.5 kms with an average 8% incline maxing out at 14%. Put together with the infamous Letterkenny Road section and we say if you can ride here, you can ride anywhere!

           4. If you don't have the RWGPS app you may be prompted to get it for your phone. If so, you can either sign up for an account or click the "skip" button in the upper right hand corner. You may have to re-scan the QR code or go back to the page where you clicked the link depending upon your phone or browser.

           5. Use the "save" option at the bottom of the route to be able to load the map and navigate where there is no cell service. You should download the route at home or where you have a good wifi connection.

           6. At the "offline" page you can click on the route and then click "navigate" to use it without cell data reception. You should have voice prompts and maps

Please Note: This is our first year trying this so, there could be glitches. It worked during our tests but technology can be wonky. Have a back up plan especially either the printed maps and cues in paper form or downloaded to your phone. We have installed directional arrows but they can go missing.
